This is not generally how we describe women we’re into, particularly in the 1920s. Don’t even tell me that the reason that Nick enjoys looking at Jordan is not because she’s androgynous, boyish. She’s a golfer, fit, slim, and built as we would describe many men.
To be blunt: Nick is the gayest of gay and I hate when people ignore this fact because it matters a great deal in interpreting his voice when he narrates.
